H15 Installation instructions

Positioning the lights and switch

Note: Do not drill until all Positioning is finalized.

  1. Select position for lights to be installed, on roof mount installations, Amber lights should face forward, Red lights can only be facing rear.

  2. Since this is a permanent installation, extreme care should be taken to determine placement, Position center light first, then put others in place.

  3. At this point, determine placement of on/off switch. Generally, this will be under dash easily accessible to the driver.

Mounting Lights and Switch

  1. On roof mounts, loosen and lower the headliner below mounting area for access to wire installed through the roof.

  2. Using the light as a template, mark the two screw mounting hole for each light, Mark a third hole for the light wire using the pad hole for placement.

  3. Use a tap to dimple the drill hole position, this will keep the drill bit from moving when drilling.

  4. Drill starter holes using a 7/64 metal drill bit

  5. Attach lights with sheet metal screws provided.

  6. The switch should now be mounted using the mounting slots as a template, After drilling starter holes using a 7/74 drill bit, use the two sheet metal screws provided to attach switch.

Wiring the lights and switch

  1. Starting with light furthest from the switch, splice the wire to the end of the red wire (without connector) using the blue quick splice connectors provided. After inserting both wires, fold over connecter and press tightly using pliers if necessary. Continue with each of the lights in sequence. Tape all wire securely to the roof when finished.

  2. Route the connector end of the red wire to the switch. Usually the wires can be easily hidden by running alongside or inside the pillar.

  3. Connect the red wire to the bottom plug behind the switch.

  4. Finally, attach the red hot wire with the fuse to the top plug behind the switch. The stripped end of the red wire can now be spliced into a constant hot lead. This enables lights to operate directly with the switch.

Note: If lights are not working after installation:

a. Remove the plastic lens to check that bulb is securely installed

b. Check in line fuse

c. Check connections

d. Check hot leads connection to insure power source in constant.
